the Drawing Sesh: LE COLLAGE 15th June

We have 3 workshops this month: LE COLLAGE 15th June, TRAVEL LOG:FLORENCE 22nd June and LE FOOT on the 29th June. During this month we’ll explore techniques like Drawing, Painting and Collage. So prep anything that you think could be useful to complete your work.

My suggestions:

Glue, Scissors, Any of your drawings that could respond to themes of our classes (and you are feeling free to cut it out),newspaper or magazine photos. And of course paints, crayons, pastels or any medium of your choice.

This Thursday we’ll focus on three different artists: Umar Rashid, Harriet Powers and Hannah Hoch. With their artworks in mind, we’ll try to answer questions related to landscape transformations in the XXI century. In other words: how climate change, developments in technology and transportation impacted the landscapes and inhabitants of this planet.

Keywords for this class:

Climate Change/Landscape: animals, humans, sun, clouds, glacier, fires, flooding, smog, sandstorms etc. Transportation: yachts, cargo ships, cars, planes, rockets. Technology: wind turbines, phones, giant screens, high buildings, plastic etc.
